Go Up Go Down

I almost got fined the other day while "digging" on my own land and after a long conversation with that "nice" guy I only got off with a warning. He even said I was desecreator and a scavenger. So my coin collection didn't increase as much as I have hopped.  Thumbs Down So have fun detecting and be happy that you don't have laws as bad as we do.

It is my land, but only 1meter( I believe about 3 feet) below ground. So If I ever find oil, it's not mine Smiley

With md it's different. If something is found in water, above or below ground and is over 100 years old it belongs to the country and not to me. But to prevent people from digging at ww2 sites, they changed the law, so that military things only need to be 50 years old. Even if I inherit something valuable or historically important(for our nation) they have the right to confiscate it, and it's all being done to "prevent" people from selling it to foreigners - a lot of museums in Austria is filled with stuff found in Slovenia.

Well not the government itself, but Institute for protection of Cultural Heritage - Archaeologists, historians,...
They kind off criminalized collectors.

Yeah we got them here to and we'd prob be suprised at how many of them read all these detecting forums.
You can bet if I ever find one of them big ole money caches I wouldn't post it on here because most likely they would be knocking on your door wanting to take it from ya.
Got news for them boys though if I find one of them I ain't gonna be at home for quiet a long time  Grin
