What is the advantages if any doe's the elliptical coil have over the round coil or vice verse
It seams I am able to pinpoint easier with the round coil. I would be grateful for any input

Joe, You will get better target seperation with an elipticle coil in trashy areas and you will loose a little depth compared to
the round coil and the Elipticle coil is better to use around rocks trees ETC because it will go between things better but
no person should ever be without one, I hope this helps, if i can help just call,

Also Elipticle coils are more sensitive and see smaller items and because of it's smaller size it see less ground
and it works better is in mineralized ground too,

DD coils pin point fine if you use the heel or toe of the coil.  Try it.

I am wondering if i need a mono coil for my new garret infinium am in pa near Lancaster but will do little dirt digging more wet sand and fresh and salt
