We all know how hard it is to get good local detecting sites but my advice is just keep trying.Offer your free services weather it b your own personal trade, help for free on the farm or a search and find service free of charge.after 5 years of trying for permission in my local area i now have managed to get permission on4 good local farms, dont get disheartened by all the constant no's if you keep asking[not pestering] the local farmers they will soon get to know your face and the good luck will come your way

HAPPY HUNTING Detecting

After talking with some locals here in my neck of the woods, some of the local farmers are skeptical of MD'ers on their land... Not that they are hiding something.  What I have found in talking with them is their property has been in their families for years and years, and past generations of family are buried on their land.  They do not want the MD'ers to disturb the site where the remains or ashes of Great G's , or their(s) pet have been scattered.  When that is told I thank them and say I totally understand, but... they almost always give permission to MD at the beginning drive of their farm or land.  I respect the "No's" and move on.

Just a note to all us "newbees" that as enthusiastic that we are, we will find the dirt and being respectful will pay off.
