Well the Fisher 1212 got here on the Fed X truck today. After unpacking  and assembling it i would say it is a pretty decent little detector for the money. No bells and whistles, just one knob to turn it on and discriminate just like the Tesoro Compadre. But after testing it out in the yard i think it will do just what it was designed to do and that is find metal objects. A person can get kind of an idea what it is by using the disc. knob after a beep but since i dig most everything anyway, I want gold, it doesn't matter much to me. If after some more testing i decide i like it i may be selling the new Garrett Ace 250 that is due to get here Monday. Will have to try them both head to head first to see though.
