I saw a ad for somebody selling a 1yr old Fisher Edge for $300. I haven't heard anything on this machine and was wondering if anybody has any comments on this machine. I thought it was cool that it has a old coin and modern coin mode.  Huh?

The Fisher ID Edge first came out in 2006 has been discontinued for almost 2 years !! A whole line of Fisher detector's were dropped when 1st Texas acquired [purchased] Fisher . $300 [used] seems a little high in price and I believe the ID Edge was not the top-of-the-line at the time .
I would check or call 1st Texas/Fisher to see if the ID Edge would be in warranty still [under the 5 year warranty] And you know to always check the online field tests before you buy !!
I like the numerical target ID , which is always great to have . I have a color copy of the 2006 Fisher catalog if you need it e-mailed . The Fisher Coin-strike was top of the line in that series .
