Hey guys, I didn't ask the question, all I did was respond.  I am interested in the responses however.  I do appreciate both of your responses and agree, it can get real old answering the same questions.  I"ve often suggested to shooting questions to try doing a search before posting.

I like the aussie use of "Mate".   Cheesy

This seems to be a never ending quest for someone to come here and tell you that they found truckloads of gold nuggets with their AT Pro. Here's the deal. As a next generation machine based on similar technology as the Ace 250 (see Garrett's site) it will do everything that the Ace 250 will and then some. It WILL detect gold. It WILL be affected by reinforcing bar in concrete. You cannot find gold next to a reinforcing bar. No detector I know of can do that. If you use all metal mode, the bar swamps the receiver. If you use discrimination, it hides the gold target. That's just physics.

You already have one according to your inventory. Just try it and see what happens. Do some air tests on gold jewelry and put it next to an axe head or frying pan to see how close you can be to the large metal object nearby and still find gold. You should be able to answer your own questions and become an expert on answering about the performance of your AT Pro in future threads. Easy.

GD,

Not really sure what your point is in responding to my asking if anyone has found nuggets with their AT Pro ?.

Your response, though I'm sure not intended, comes across as somewhat patronising and not appreciated at all.

I know what I can do with the detector. My comments about the You-Tube clip were clear enough so don't need clarification and I was not seeking to find out if my own AT Pro can detect gold, clearly it can do this.

I'm interested to see if there is anyone that has done so in the field as I'm interested....!!!

Not sure what your problem is with me or me asking this question...?

I'm no fool and don't much like the simplistic patronising tone of your response, which I will regard as an error and not your intention.

If you go to metal detecting and then click on the brand Garrett,
that will be a good place to start

It was an answer that makes sense. You already own the machine. Test it. What do you think the odds are that a gold prospector here would use a machine that is intended for beach hunter? Fairly slim odds. Your best option is the one I suggested. Set up a test scenario and come back here with your results. That makes more sense that repeating the question.
