Over the years, I've heard about folks finding gold in Alabama. I'm curious as to what counties gold is located and if there are any sizeable nuggets ever recovered by prospectors... are there any members who have found any gold flakes or nuggets in Alabama. How far down south in Alabama can gold be found? Detecting Cheesy Pray

Check out the Alabama Gold Camp in Lineville, they are great people. You can google them they have a web site and a group on yahoo. I have been there twice with some small gold (fines) both times but I only could stay a couple hours each time. They all kinds of info on gold in the south.
Good Huntn.
Tim
