i was tryin out my f-2 w/4inch coil it was getting dark and my fingers were hurtin man the ground is still cold when i hit a wild signal along with a low tone at 2 inches so i went ahead and dug it to my surprize it was about a 12 inch bayonette the handle was busted off i think the bolster part is brass causing the slightly highr tone its not a dated piece i dont think maybe WWII surplus or just surplus but who knows what stories it has to tell i told my son he did not believe me till i showed him . any way i went ahead and marked some good targets for the thaw if it ever comes again if we get an inch of ice like the predictions i will go nuts now sittin in the house lookin at my machine and waiting lol! i hit that target with my cheapie machine but wanted to see how deep it was my before i got muddy my f-2 was right on depth cant wait hit some places i got permission to go and a couple i am researchin IF THIS IS A WWII who knows how it got here not sayin it is but I AM SO PROUD TO HAVE FOUND IT .THOSE MEN AND WOMEN ARE THE GREATEST GENERATION OUR COUNTRY HAS EVER HAD nice to find a small piece of it .
