Cen-Tech Pin Pointer MD from Harbor freight, Got it as a gift, Smiley

Squeeze the red button on the side and it immediately starts blaring wether its near metal or not.  Angry

is there an adjustment for it or do i need to take it back and exchange it??

I had one years ago and it may be different from yours. Mine did a quick beep on starting it and then was ready to go. My own, a modified Bosch stud finder beeps on turning it on.

This is brand new in the box , Put the battery in just like the instructions say and push the red button and then your suppose to sweep it over something to make the light and sound go off if it has metal in it.
Well mine beeps continusly as long as u hold the button.
I have gone thru the owners manual forwards and backwards and read everything i can find online,
And have come to the conclusion I am taking it back to harbor freight tomorrow.
and trade it for another one.

Thanks but i have tried that also and it still continues the loud constant beep doesnt change it one bit.
I am guessing mine was the last one made on a friday and they slapped it together just to get out of there.
No Problem will take it back and exchange for one that works.

I have a cen-tech and it has a sensitivity control knob on it that is on the bottom right side as you point it towards the ground ! It works pretty good!   Goldyfp14
