history is the reason i wanted a detector i was running equipment in kennasaw georgia the job we was on had civil war trenches on it we could not disturb them but I had to sit down in them thinking about the guys that fought around there and in that very place the battle did not take place there but it didjust a few miles from there we was doing another job real close to the kennasaw battleground it was private property we were grading a subdivision in the evening time when we would shut down to go home several people would show up with MD and start they found several bullets and slugs they gave a couple to the foreman after that I wanted a MD because history is so fasinating to me then id go to the beach and I noticed more people with MDs which made me want one that much more now I have one planning a trip to the beach in june I would love to figure out how to find good places close where do I find the people to contact to detect their old homesteads im learning a lot from these forums and Id like to thank each and every one you guys are very helpfull
