Not all mineralization is in the form of magnetic materials.
It could be in the form of Salts, Alkali or other metallic minerals.
If your machine has Manual Ground Balance, you should be good to go.
Australia has some of the worst in the world.
I've seen a few spots here in New Mexico that a detector could just barely function due to Iron Minerals in the ground. And NO you can't just use Iron Discrimination. LOL!
