Go Up Go Down

Hello all.  I'm really new to MD and have borrowed coworker's ACE 250.  I live in an area where there is apparently a lot of iron in he soil.  Can anyone tell me how to ground balance this detector, or point me to a link on how to do it.  I have looked but keep coming up empty.

Thanks in advance.

The ACE is preset Ground Balance.

Only thing to do would be to turn down the sensitivity until it will be happy.

Believe it or not , it will still find the goods.

Yep, the only thing you can do is just turn down the sensitivity.

I have had really good luck with finding deeper stuff even on three notches on the sens-o-meter! Give it a try.

Thanks all.  We'll turn it down and see what we get.

The ground balance on an Ace 250 is not preset but it is not adjustable. It sets itself to ambient conditions when you first turn it on. To change it, turn it off and wait a few seconds before turning it back on and it will be set for the new ambient conditions.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
