When you kneel down to look for your find, your blood will turn to ice water when you get that tap on the shoulder and nobody is there.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I wouldn't call it unethical to hunt near, around or through a grave yard. Some people get a little freaked out about the dead. The dead is just that 'DEAD',no feelings or thoughts about the living and what they are doing, this is just my opinion"I have been called a hard nose at times"
Now don't get me wrong I believe that the dead deserves respect and should be left to rest.
I feel that as long as your not disturbing the actually grave or causing property damage to the site then there is no disrespect to the living or dead, again just my opinion.
Now as stated by other replies, the living that just has no knowledge of MDing would probably see you as some kind of grave robbing zombie and this is what could give all MDing a bad rep.
Now we all know that there is some nut jobs out there that would dig up a grave with no problem if they thought it would profit them,or damage property by leaving unfilled holes and trash. These are the ones that give MDing a bad name.
I just don't think that the dead is going to have any problem with someone hunting a grave yard as long as this person is acting in a respectful manner.
It's not the dead but the living that will give you grief for these action even if you know your not meaning any disrespect towards the ones at rest.
I have never hunted a grave yard as of yet and being so many other places that one can hunt I probably will not just to avoid a problem with someone who has no clue as to what I'm up to.
The way I would handle this is to ask myself   Do I think that what I'm doing is wrong?
Will this make me and my hobby of MDing look bad to the general public?
Always remember, you may not know it but someone is always watching you and your actions. If you do something that seems good it will be forgotten soon,if you do something that seems bad it will stick with you for a long time.
Just use your own judgement and do what you think is right..... Great
