Ahhhhhhh, Hell that ain't nothing.

Until the Ground is frozen your still in the game.

Down here in the Hight Desert we don't see a lot of snow but the 30 degree, 40MPH winds puts a damper on things.  LOL

True what you say about the frozen ground Homey!   30 degrees with 40 mph winds makes for a very cold wind chill!  Can't handle that in my near old-age anymore!   Grin  Unfortunately, here our forecast calls for more white stuff tonight and tomorrow.  But...  just maybe...  just maybe...   !!    Detecting

I'm pretty sure those guys aren't from New Mexico!

One winter, on my rural mail route I had to drive through a cut like that for several weeks to get through my route!  Before the county crew cut through it I had to detour about 7 miles every day for about 3 weeks!     Detecting

We actually got some snow over here on the coast last week and then the first flood watch of the year, but luckily the rain wasn't heavy the floods didn't come.  Unless I want to swin up stream like the salmon my season is also over, all the rivers are too high and too fast.  Arfie you should be in primo gold country all the gold in OR seems to run from SW to NE, with me being in the NW I gota travel a bit to get to the shiny yella.

Hi Gramps!  Yes, I heard you guys got a little snow last week from a guy in Newport.  We got some too!  Had about 2" on Tuesday and another 6" on Wednesday, then some on Thursday morning.  It stared warming up Thursday and we had half a day of rain!  By Friday most of the snow was gone except for little spots where shoveled piles had been. Rained all weekend so far!

Yes, I'm surrounded by gold country over here, except to the northwest.  All the rest of it has lots of gold still there. I don't do much panning anymore and even when I did, I did it kind of lightly... never found much in the areas I went to.  Mostly detected ghost towns and mining areas when I got out then.  Panning was kind of a side highlight.

Take care of yourself!  And I'm honored that you accepted my buddy request.  Thanks!               Detecting
