Higher Frequencies are Absorbed and Impeded by Ground Minerals.

So Ergo Low Frequencies tend to be better on depth.

There is always a trade off on performance.

"Lower frequencies penetrate more deeply but higher frequencies are more sensitive to smaller targets." "Different metals respond better to different frequencies. I think this best sums up your question. Other then that the larger the coil the greater the depth.
