Just wanted to let folks know a tip on cheap kneepads. Don't know if anyone uses them, but I found that wearing one on my left knee, in soft, damp ground helps keep the pants cleaner and dry! I found you can buy a pair for $1.99 at Menard's(home improvement store)They made out of some fairly comfortable poly-plastic material and a stretchy velcro tab,are cheap and do the trick! They were in the roofer's supply area.
So far I've gotten a $6.99 duffle bag from Goodwill for my gear, a $2.99 trowel from Target for digging, $1.99 kneepads. My main cost so far has been the Detector, extra coil and a supply of batteries! Went to Harbor Freight to look at the pinpointer for $14.99, but they are sold out.
Detecting on a budget! Detecting
