GD can you tell me what app I must install on my tablet to be able to read these documents and e books as I just tried to open one from our download area and cant open it.

Unfortunately there is no Android app for those books. I'm looking for an Android compatible e-book compiler. When I find one, I'll let you know.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I don't keep a journal per say because I am mainly  a cache and relic hunter so have a file on most treasures I am hunting or sites I relic hunt some 2 in or more thick. I do use a 3x5 card system to keep track of leads etc here is how it works for me.

When I get a lead word of mouth book etc I put all the info on a 3x5 and file it in a index card box for the state its in. I have a box for each of the 5 states I hunt plus one  box for the rest of the states. When I get the time and interest I will pull a card and start a file adding research along with info on any hunts and recovery from the site.

I too don't keep a log per say.   I do Document Meaningful Finds in a Book I have.
I just don't see any point in the effort.  On my Gold efforts, I log every sample in a book with GPS markers included.

Those are great ideas. Thanks all for the feedback.  I will check on the Minelab app. I have an iPad and an Android phone so I should be able to find that app either way. lol I am beginning to like the 3x5 card idea. It seams quick and easy to organize. Right now my notebook is a bit chaotic with research. I am sure that as my hobby moves along my process will get more refined.

One more question for you all. When you get permission from land owners, do you have them sign something or document it somewhere?  I noticed a form in the download area of this forum.

Thanks
