I am just looking at detectors to get into metal detecting.......I am hearing a lot of good about these detectors.......I found a Explorer S upgrade to for mid 300's, but should I pay the diff and upgrade to another Explorer version or should I consider the Lobo Super Trac......I want to do coins and gold......Any comments appreciated....Thx D Brown

If by "gold" you mean prospecting for nuggets then you will be much better of with Lobo ST. Not only is it more sensitive to small gold but general ergonomics are much better than Explorers. The only Minelab you could consider for coin hunting and prospecting is X-Terra 70/705.
