While looking for a project for fun I made a mistake and put a low bid on a White's Gold master. I ended up winning it. The good news it didn't coast me much. I originally thought it was a S66 with a single battery tester, now just bar wires, however know i think it is the dreaded T series using a 9volt, a 67 volt and a 11/2 volt battery.
the Battery available from Radio shack for 24 dollars, but that's more than the detector is wroth. I might just connect 7 9volts together and call it a day.

The listing is

can anyone identify the detector. I won't receive it for a week, and than i will know for sure.

Thanks

Yeah....
I'm seeing a VERY big gap between that one battery connector..  Sad

What kinda hookup did the 67 volt have on the top?
Because I think that is what that "blue thing" with the red/blk wires is for...

Me too, but if I am right, I'll clean the circuit board, refurbish everything and makeup a battery pack with 7 9 volt batteries. I read on the internet, radio operators not being able to fine the battery or not willing to pay the high price for it have successful done this. And 9 volt batteries at a dollar store won't be to bad. And than I guess I'll end up being the expert on this detector.
Came in today. It is the detector that takes a 67 volt battery. the tag on the back is not all there. It says 6/68 for when it was made, but the serial number and model number are gone. it is in good shape and will clean up easily. Don't know if it will be anything but a shelf model. Seems to have two tubes in it. The volume control on the front next to the coil plug in. this may help me identify the model number. Any help would be appreciated.
occasionally the main units can be found cheaply on Ebay, if I find another Gold master or coin master than can be used with these two coils, I might just buy it and swap out the unit.

Cheers.
