Go Up Go Down

Just finished a custom lesche type digger. I had a couple pieces I cut off the side of shovel when I made a trenching shovel. I heated it up and bent it over, then drilled a couple holes on each side of the 90 bend I welded in a brace with plug welds, the handle is welded to the bent section. I epoxied a couple yew wood slabs to the handle and riveted with some heavy copper wire. Some sanding and a little paint and she be done Smiley

I took it out for a test run last night, seem to work really well. Only time will tell if it holds up to repeated abuse, but I dug about a hundred bottle caps, and pull tabs yesterday from a county park up the road from me. I found 3 coppers and 3 zincolns, and a "good luck" bell in among the trash. There were tons of beavertail tabs so I dont think it has ever been picked before, then again it doesnt get much use so not much good stuff to find.
