Go Up Go Down

Went to a county park in Hillsborough County Florida (A county with a long history of corruption) to do some detecting this morning . I started detecting this park in 1971 . (I have paid property taxes for 45 years here ) As I stated in an earlier thread they now charge us to use the parks that we the taxpayers paid for . Start detecting and here drives up the park staff ." Sir ,that is no longer allowed , no detecting in county parks . Could cause someone to break a leg " . I'm probing with a screwdriver...... for Petes sake... Remember the politicians that passed this stupid rule are the same bunch that allow phosphate companies to destroy thousands of acres of land here while mining , and allow developers to destroy our wetlands . Of course that's the way the commissioners make that extra money .. Wake up folks , they are takers......

I'm surprised they haven't tried to figure out a way to tax us for the air we breath

I thought about this and I think I have a suggestion that can save everyone a lot of grief . A politician should only be allowed one term in office . At the end of their term , they should be made to leave the country as a means of limiting the damage they do.

As some of y'all know we have had this conversation 50 plus times over the last 7 years and it always ends the same. Cities and town all over the country are passing laws about detecting as we speak the time to stop them is before they are passed not after the fact its to late then. People need to get their local clubs involved they need to talk with the city council members show that we ain't bad folks out damaging property like the clowns on the damn reality TV. Running around the internet crying I pay taxes its my right its my property etc just shows that you are clueless about what is going on.

I live in Little Rock, Ar.  I called the man in charge of the city parks here to find out about the city laws concerning this very thing.  I was told that is isn't against the law to metal detect in the parks but if a police sees me dig a hole and take something out of the park he could ticket me for removing city property.  It all belongs to the city above and below the surface.
