From the land of the Bluenose.....of all the trails, of all the parks and of all the playing fields she had to come to mine! Cute! Great shape and teeth as white as the snow covered alps.....and she

wanted a piece of me. Thank goodness she was on a short

(found that and left it on a bench so someone could get some use of it)

"Here's looking at you kid." Guess you can tell that Marie and I watched Casablanca the other night. "Lady" was a real fireball of energy and everytime I bent down to dig she crawled under me till the owner called her. Knew "four shore" that none of the dew on the field was from this monster mobile manure maker. Lady left and I had the field to myself...at least till I found Jesus.....about four inches down to the left of a pile of dew!

Tired of digging new clad I took a short trip down the dirt road to the canal and went looking for a piece of silver. A dark cloud descended upon me here . Last time I hunted this area was with my great late bud, The Bardman

Had forgotten to go to the Dollar store for a pair of work gloves to dig in and felt like Micheal Jackson as I had only one glove on. Be dammed me bouy if I was going to use my good gloves for digging holes so one hand was gloved while the other was tucked in me pocket. Mind you a song was running through my head the whole time........."Beat it" to which I sung to myself changing the words...slightly... "Swing it!"

Was rewarded within 10 minutes with a nice 1947 maple dime.

Well enough tromping through the woods and it was time to hit the beach and find an elusive dinkie. The sky was increasingly getting darker as the nor'wester blew the dark storm clouds over the lake!

Again "Lady" luck was on my side as after a mear 10 bottlecaps I found it near the wall....Ole 89 (see loot photo)!

Wasn't going into the water to find gold so I retreated to the woods again amoungst the thickets, downed branches while having to endure the constant cawing of the crows. I know some bouys who would say that part was just like being home! Think this keychain thingy that I found in the woods says it all me bouy!

I am a man of my own mine and I agree with it ...Marie says I can!

After getting pricked by the thorns in the wooded area I headed towards Otto and of course found this on a side path. Not sure which military outfit this represents.

Had gotten off work at 0500 hours today and the half day dig was coming to an end. Tomorrow is another half day off as it's recertification day for the asp and pepper spray. With all that is going on lately I thank God that I don't carry a taser at work!

Heading home Otto acted up a tad like he was possed by some draconian demoniac manitou in his steering column as the electronics in the car suddenly flashed on and off. Just as quickly as it came...it left. Will have the get my great white hunter Steve, (gave me 30 pounds of deer meat) aka "The Mechanical Electrical Exorcist" to ward off the evil spirits. Man there goes another case of Moosehead Dry!

End result for the day was a dinkie, button, 1947 dime, silver cross, Halifx pin, dinkie,a Wilson CFL football in great shape, earring and 109 coins @ $9.57
