Hey guys...

I'm in the Bullhead City area and I'm looking for some places in the near area (within an hour or so) where a person could do some detecting and/or powersluicing without violating private property or claim jumping.

I've poked around in the Silver Creek wash a bit but found nothing. It's a huge wash and I haven't been here long enough to know the good locations within it.

I've been thinking about Gold Basin and/or King Tut to the north or perhaps to Quartzite and/or Gold Hill area to the south.

Is there anything in-between those areas any myself and/or in extreme southern Nevada, Laughlin area?

Any advice would be awesome!

Thanks in advance...

Mark

Are you a GPAA member? Their guide is fantastic!

Their forum is quite useful and more up to the minute sometimes.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

No I'm not a GPAA member. I chose to go with another regional club and then moved away from the region - I know, bright idea.

So now I'm just a lonely miner looking for someplace to wander around with the detector...AND FIND SOME GOLD!! Funny

Unless you want to spend a lot of time checking the BLM site for active claims, consider the BLM's  La Posa Long Term Visitor area:
