I am a member of the physically challenged due to being an upper extremity amputee and also my remaining arm and hand have very limited use and function. I use the term physically challenged because in most cases, it is just that. Things can generally be accomplished with thought and effort, just not in the routine manner. I've tried other sports/hobbies such as fishing. Enjoyed it but hated the hassle of having to ask my buddy to tie my lures when I got caught and such. Still need minor help like replacing batteries, coil changes because I have no dexterity or flexibility in my hand but most things can be done. I also had knee replacement so found out how great knee pads can be. My point of this post is that if you know someone who is physically challenged, try introducing them to our hobby. It just might be a rewarding and much needed activity they can enjoy.

Well said, mate. I fully understand overcoming obstacles in this world. Anyone does. But to overcome the big challenges takes a special sort of determination. I can see that in you from your post.

Welcome aboard from Australia.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

About 10 years ago there was a blind hunter here Texas that hunted all Texas Treasure Show. He run the detector and had someone dig for him. He was hard to beat.
