Found this for too much money. The people at the sale said it was a garden marker. I knew better, I know a M.D. digging tool when I see one. It just needed a little TLC, that's all.

Yep, that a little keeper thats for sure,

I have one thats never been used with a leather pouch but I am not sure if its US or German because it has a Pick on it as well, That will be a great asset to your detecting because they are made so well, Good luck.

Already done. Cuts a nice plug and will quickly take me to 12 inches. I have to get above some better targets soon.

You say you may have paid too much for it from a garage sale. But what price can you put on a decent digging tool that is light weight and portable enough for md'ing. I say, even though you had to put a new stave (and a really nice job you've done there too),it was probably still a decent investment at the end of the day. Well done m8. It looks a nice and robust head, i'm sure it will serve you well for years to come.
