Hey guys, I dug rings 7 & 8 this last week and I was wondering what the typical ratio is of gold, silver and junk. So far I have two silver, 1 gold and 3 junkers the two I dug last week are unknown, one is plated but Im not sure what the base metal is, the other is a mowed class ring that is very heavy but also plated as the silver colored base is showing through. Im gonna order a testing kit this week so I can figure out the base metals.

And I just had to share my first big coin spill, all the pennies to the left of the nickels came out of a single hole including a 1936D, 41 by my count.

Hey, Caleb!  Nice finds.  Too bad about the plated rings, but at least one of them is silver, right?  Many finds.  Thanks for showing them!   Great          Detecting

Well Arfie I'm hoping that they are silver however I'm not sure as I looked up several web sites for class rings most had a non precious alloy as an option.

Not Sure!    This year my ratio is 0 to 0!

No Silver No Gold and two junk rings.  Junk rings don't count. Huh?

Well I guess I'm doing pretty well then Homie, Ive only been detecting for a couple months now and have 3 good ones for sure, maybe 5 if I get lucky. On a side note I found the Chinese coin is from the Emperor De Zong era (1875-1908) making it the oldest coin I have dug yet.
