Tabdog, it never fails to amaze me what gets dropped, lost or buried by people. That's quite a haul of gold you have there, mate. Good luck on selling it. It should be a good down payment on your son's car. It may even buy him a decent second hand car.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I guess it's a md'ers habit to keep his/her eyes on the ground.... Last year I found 6000 pesos on the sidewalk that people were walking all over. That's about $125 US at the current exchange rate. A lot of people here earn that in a month so to the locals it's a large amount. I stayed in that area to see if someone came around hunting their loss. I talked to all the regular vendors asking if they had heard or seen anyone searching for their loss. I went back to those vendors for the next couple of days but never found out anything. Even though it made me 6000 peso richer, I never could enjoy such a find knowing it could have been someone's salary for a month. Undecided  Embarrassed

Dont sell it all!

The shist is going to hit the wind with the way they are printing and spending.

That is a good idea Homefire- I brokered a deal selling a barge load of scrap steel- the seller made a fantastic profit- I mean whoowah- the next month the prices peaked even higher and he wished he had held off. Holding off would have meant a 20- 35% higher return but he was still happy with the cash haul.

Well Tabdog the price of gold just keeps inching its way up also. 992.12 USD / Troy Oz is the current price and looks like it's gonna keep climbing. That's 578.70 USD / Troy Oz. for 14k gold. Cool
