This coin was found by Eileen.
It's in almost mint condition, only made this year and on the back is a wonderful scene of Colourful Colorado. (Mountains?)
You guys over the pond sure do have some beautiful coins.

Nice find.... That coin is one of the coins made to celebrate the 50 states. The mint produces a new quarter every ten weeks. They are released in the order the states were admitted into the union. I believe this started in 1999 and will end in 2008.

Hi Ian and Eileen,

Lived in Newmarket for three years back in the early 90's. Love it there. If there is a US Military base nearby, you could probably find a troop that could get you more of those from different States. Very cool find.
