Go Up Go Down

Weather is being Most Fickled down here in the High Desert of Southern New Mexico (4,400ft) . Almost 70F one day and the Next down in the Thirties. WTH ?

You know What's Messed Up ? Having a All But Brand New  one year old, Unused GMT shipped all the way from the U.K. and not being able to put it to work !!     The Hillsborough area is calling but the Cold winds get ugly this time of year. Pinos Altos is nasty this time of year too. Cold Rains with a Dusting of the "S" word. Guess I'm just going to have to go play in the tailings around the Victorio Range.  Only about 25 miles from here and still in the lower elevations.

Pile of projects working keeping things going.  Anchor Barracuda PI PCB Built waiting for a Enclosure to come in.  Still Messing with different coils  with it.  I have a Idle Bounty Hunter 101 S shaft/Rod ready for it.  Built a simple BFO for the kid down the Road and doing ToT lot time with him.   Trying to hunt down a Battery Door Latch for the Prizm II no one wants to know about.   Not a high priority at the Factory it seems.   LOL    Lets see what else ?   Trying to wrap my brain around the workings of the Arduino's abilities and lack there of.  A few other Putzings things.   OH ,  The CV joint in the  Zero (Mitsubishi) is going to fail any day now so that's going to be fun.

Well that's the Report from this corner of the South West. How about you all ?

Go Up Go Down

Ice and snow last week, down in teens at night, 70 degrees yesterday and in the 50's today. Theres a saying here if you don't like the weather in NC just wait a minute. At least deer seasons over with for the season. Nothing against hunting but much safer in the woods, although they allow year round coyote hunting but mostly at night. Still have work to do cleaning up after the hurricane, lost a hundred year old pecan tree and some leyland cypress trees, but no damage to home. Think I might need to hire some help. All in all though, everythings good.

Yea, I have a Kid up there in NC.  Jumps out of perfectly Good Air Planes.  NOT RIGHT !  Any ways he say's you all are getting Spring for Winter Winter for Fall and things are sorta backazzwards.   I use to do a pile of coyote hunting back in the days.  Hunting at night was verboten in Arizona.    Now it seems I just supply them with Chicken, Cats and stuff that stay out side at night too long.

Very cold here in N.E. Oregon mountains.  3*F when I got up this morning!  Now (9am PDT) it is around 6*F.  Been having an accumulation of SNOW since just before Christmas.  Now about a foot of it on the ground.  I just stay in the house by the fire.  No point in going out for these old bones!    Wise

Lol,,, Now see what you started,,

Its pretty cool here, Some where in the house I got a Mutha of a heat loss,  10.9*c in the bathroom this morning, I was 22*c in the lounge when I went to bed and it was about 15*c when I got up. I blocked all the Air Vents and sealed around the windows and still it is cold. I think that the next thing to check is where the pipes come in the building.

Things aren't so Skippy down here on the border ether. Expected the wife home this morning instead I received a phone call from her saying she camping out at her Mom's house. Seems the road leading to our property is under water again. Last time it did this the Water cut 4ft ruts across the road and you couldn't get in after it dried.

Food ? Check
Electric? Check
Propane? Check
Dogs? Check
Internet? Check until the water washes out the phone line going down the Road ? Eaaaaaaaarrrrrrr
Roof Leaking? Yep, Check.

Dang! What a Wonderful Day.

Proverb of the Day: Every Day is the First Day of the Rest of your Life.
