Huh?Huh? could you be a little more specific Huh?Huh?    Do you mean if you hit it with something (and if so what), like tapping the side of a glass with a fork?   Or do you mean what sound would you hear coming out of your metal detector speakers (or your headphones) if you detected a gold object?   If the you mean the latter, a whole lot is going to depend upon whether you're using a BFO, VLF, or PI detector and whether it is Analog or Digital as well as the make and manufacturer.

I guess you mean what sound would your detector make. It will depend on kind of detector TR/VLF, BFO, PI and also the brand of machine.

I've got a White's Spectra V3i and was curious to know what type of sound the spectra would make if it went over an object such as a gold ring or coin. I'm not sure what a BFO, VLF or PI dectector is?

I've got a spectra V3i and was wondering what a gold ring or coin in the ground would sound like. I really don't know if my dectector is one of the abbreviations above?

Do you have a ring handy? Try that. It would probably give you a better idea then a description.

With machines like the V3i and the E-TRAC if you set them up to give a certain Tone on conductivity they will give a high tone,
IE If you have them set to ferros or none ferros you can pick which one gives the high tone and which one gives the low tone,

AU
