I have a question I was hoping someone could help me out, I have a Whites M6 and my friend just purchased
a Whites Classic ID 5, Can we metal detect close by ? I always go by myself so I don't know I read somewhere that a hundred
feet is a proper distance.
Thanks for any feedback,
Wolfy

Hi,
A hundred feet is a bit much...
Even if they do interfere with each other you should get away with about 15 - 20 ft.
My Minelab Explorer interferes like mad with my sons Garrett ace at anything under 10 feet.
Over 10 feet and it's perfectly o.k.
Also, the classic 5 runs at 8khz, and the M6 at 14khz so you could probably almost stand on each other!

One thing is for sure, you'll know very quickly if you are interfering with each other and can adjust the distance accordingly.    I learned quickly to stay at least 15 feet from my wife if we were both using garrets.

Does your wife know you want to stay 15 feet away from her, mate? That could be cause for trouble. Especially if that gal in the bikini is at 14 feet.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
