Sorry it took so long getting back. i came down with the worst case of a flu virus I've ever had. it completely knocked me out, We rode went back and probed the mound the following day with a 8 foot steel shaft we hit something solid at 7 feet. (including the mound). We decided to bring his john Deere back the following day. I woke up this next morning with the virus and did not make it.
He pulled out a rusted steel box 4 by 2 feet. Inside was 7 machine parts (gears and shafts) still packed in heavy cosmoline. We are trying to find some way of identification through the stamped numbers. The parts are in amazingly good condition.
Will let you know what we come up with. we are hoping these are obsolete parts that are worth something to someone.
