What are best or the uk detectors manufactured? What about UK units made with pre set ground balance?

theres not much manufactured in the UK these days, whites have a factory, arado are back making detectors, there machines were the best money could buy in the 70's -80's. but we need to wait and see on the new models. the late Vic Fiveash of Red Heat fame also made some quality units, but sadly no more. it's worth checking out the Arado but you need to think outside the UK for the worlds best. the UK has one of the worlds best PI developers/manufacturers in Eric Foster though

You have Viking, but they unfortunately don?t go very deep, and have a very slow recovery, but you also have CScope, who have some good units, including some PI units, but are let down by not having interchangeable coils (I.e. the coils are hard wired). However they are very inexpensive for the excellent quality offered.
Some tests of these can be seen on YouTube, mostly by NorfolkWolf.

Yeah id definatly choose CScope over Viking. However with online UK retailers you have
a huge range or detectors to choose from.

Maybe have a look at regtons website, great store and very helpful staff.

Hey Austin

If you want  a serious detector ? You want to look at the Minelab ETrac  it is made  by Minelab in Ireland  and exported all over the world .  would be very comparable to your Saxon ,plus some !  1249 English pound inc vat
