The First detector I had.

It was ordered from the back of some Magazine back in the 70's!

I had  borrow the $50.00 from my mother paying her back in Yard Mowing money I made around the Block.

It was called "THE CRUSADOR"

What a hoot.

I even received a single page Memeio Graph News letter for a Year I think.

That was Called the "Seeker"!

Running at 350Khz, it had ground penetration of some 5" max with the 5 Transistors used.

In my front yard in Tucson AZ, I found a 1953 Quarter the first 10 minutes of trying the beast.

I was Hooked.

Circuit was a double Colpitt type and  it would drift like not tomorrow!

But It Found stuff and Lots of stuff.

Mine was a Metrotech.   I used from the late 60s and all through the 70s.   Great relic machine.
