Round About Are there any detector for the public that can go 2-3 meters into ground, and only detects gold silver.

Hi HM

A PI detector will go the depth as for gold and silver they will respond with a different frequency so you would have to go thought a processor that will discriminate all other frequencies and you will still pickup other metals plus you will lose out on all the smaller stuff on the other hand if you are looking for a gold vain it?s the way to go.

Regards xavier

Ty for your reply. Need a detector who can find vains and at the same time detect deep in the ground. Have a long history with vikings here in my country Norway. Only sites for this today is rocky hillsides. So my answer is : will the whites do the trick? can i use the detector from 3 meter distance air and still detect a object 1-2 meters in the ground. Ty again . Great

BIG loop Pulse Induction unit or one of the two box units such as the TF9OO sold by the original owner of Treasure Baron...he still sells the units for around 500 dollars and a friend of mine bought one a few months ago and it is really a deep going detector 4 or 5 feet deep is no problem on a cache with that thing. But it will pick up stuff like iron and any other metal that is deep like that...it'll pick up a coffee can several feet deep in the ground. I believe it operates on 6 AA Batteries. It has headphone jack so you can wear headphones and be quiet while searching in an area.

Sure you can all that you will need is a helicopter and a manometer with one very complex bit of software and more money than brains then you will be able to go and look for all sorts of junk ling around the place large enough to be detected or you could get a PI with a 1m x 1m coil and take a stroll around the place.

Hi drmyy

So far the best one that I know of is the DBP2010 PI but you will need to have some electronics experience if you have some then that would be the one to go for. There are kits out there too but I would not know what to recommend to you.

VLF type of  metal detectors like IB & TR  , i think TR ( transmit & Receive (two box ) ) type of metal detector is very good for deep detection specially for large burrid objects , the basic circuitry of both IB & TR are same , where in IB double D-type coil is used & in TR (two box) both transmit & receive coils are separated from each other at some distance with the having  right angle between them , for large buried objects two box MD is more suitable ,good depth ability. up to 1.5 to 2 meters with the good discrimination .

Best Regards,

Engr  Obaid

Mr Obain, can you suggest me a detector with a reasonable price for these potentials?   thanks!
