Hello . Plenty of do it yourself metal detector project schematics are posted right here on our Forum . Go to the TECH TALK Area of the message boards , or use the advanced search under the Entire Forum located at the top right corner of any forum page . Search or type , PI schematic or VLF schematic .

HH..........Eugene

Hello . If the Non-working machines are priced good buy them , you can not go wrong !! If you do not repair the machine right away you will have an adjustable shaft with arm cuff , a hopefully good search coil and a control housing box [metal or plastic] .
All the parts can be used If you start to build your own Metal Detector circuit board in the future and it will save you some money and lots of time .

Regards................Eugene

Even us "non-technical" guys have been known to pick up an old "non-working" detector or two---especially if it looks like a "simple" problem with a switch or battery connection....Like Eugene said, there are still parts that useable (and who knows, we might find someone with the time and knowledge and interest in fixing the more complicated problems for us in trade for something we have or are good at).
