Hi Christian

I have seen a few coil winders on the net and they all have the same problem with the lugs that hold the wire in place all are straight and the wire tends to build up on the side hence you end up with a coil that has more height than width this is not a problem when you only have a few turns but once you start having 40 or more turns it?s a pain especially when the top wire is pushed down it becomes loose the solution to this problem is having lugs like an upside down L and setting them to an appropriate height it?s quite easy to calculate.

Regards
Xavier

Hello
Is thier a limit to the size of a coil? and do you have to supply seperate power to the coil or will the detector power do?
Thank You brian
