hello i have a question. i just bought a Famous Trail 7012 and it doesn't really work, only the battery in B2 mode shows power, B1 does not.   the lights don't work and i have it all apart. if you have any info on getting this this up and running again i would apreciate it. thanks

I split your post better to keep things separate.

First thing I would do would be to Inspect and test all power leads from Battery Tray.

Can you take a photo (CLEAR) of the battery connections?

yeah i have visually checked them and everything looks find power/ ground  and no corrosion. i havn't used a multimeter yet, but i'm assuming i'll do that next.  the onlt mode the gauge moves in is B2, it does not move in B1 or in operate mode, the lights do nothing and no noise from the unit even with headphone in it.   it doesn't look like any king of water dameag and nothing looks burnt out or shorted

Yep, check with a meter and see where it stops.

Could just be a open track or solder joint.
