Go Up Go Down

I did the mod on my centech using the Radio Shack vibrating motor hardware. Did away with the speaker and LED since the light burnt out. I did the switch mod while I was at it.

1). I was curious how much battery time others are getting that did the same mod.

2.) That little motor is very powerful. If I use a resistor to cut down the voltage it uses to get more battery time, what size resistor would you use?

Thanks for the help ladies and gents.

That would depend on the current that motor is pulling.    I would bet it's more then the speaker was using.

It's rated for 3Amps. Not sure about the current draw but like you said, its gotta be more than the speaker and LED combined.

Start with a 100 ohm 1 watt and adjust up/down. Trial and error will give you a break even point.
