Go Up Go Down

My Stepdad picked up a used Vaquero at the show in Conroe this last weekend. We got it out to a park afterward and I started messing with the ground balance and noticed that it would go around one way about 5 full revolutions before having a slight spongy resistance. But no definite hard stop. Once I felt that resistance I stopped and went back the other way.... once again... no hard stop... just little resistance.

Hmmmmm... kinda threw up a red flag.

Is this normal? I wondered if the control pot has gotten loose... I've had this happen with guitars. Im thinking this might be something similar if it is a problem.

I thought I'd better ask before we cracked in to it and had a peek.

Yes that is normal!   The pot is made to do that as to protect it from over cranking.

You will find Whites, Garret used the same type.

It is not mess up.

 Cool Cool Cool Cool
