I have a .HTM file, on how to construct a coil, seems to mention 4B, and other types, with illustrations, but it is in .htm format, and in what I believe to be Polish language.

Does anyone speak and write Polish? I can forward it to you, if you can interpret it, and send me back a copy in English. I do not believe I can post a .htm file.

Let me know at Pondco at aol dot com. Thanks...

If you post the link here, perhaps someone can explain to you how to use Google to translate.

Unfortunately I did not save the link, but I did save a copy of the .htm file. I found it a long time ago, and not sure where I found it.

OK, let's try this again. Post the link to the .htm file so we can have a look at it. This back and forth without any information is just taking up space. Perhaps if you uploaded it as an attachment???

Okay, will try to put it in as an attachment, but it is .htm, and it does't say .htm okay, but only 10K, so it should go. Okay, tried, but got message, that it does not allow that type of file, so I cannot upload it. Golddigger, if you want to send me your email address, I will send it to you, and you can put it in downloads. Right now, I am not permitted to download until I get 15 posts, and that seems to take some time for me....

Okay, I guess people are not understanding. I did NOT save the link!!!! And I tried to post it, but it will not accept a .htm file...

So here is what I did, I cut out the foreign language words, and saved them in .txt format, so someone interpret it for me. Then I will create a .doc file, and stick in the photos, and post the .doc file....

Now remember, it may not even be Polish, may be Czech, or some other language. I do not know for sure, but I was searching for information on coils, and after going through countless pages, I ran across it, and it cannot be too old, as it mentions Garrett GTI 2000 coils, and goes back to BFO coils I think, as it mentions them too. I really do not know what it says, as I just cannot read it...

Nobody misunderstood you, mate. What YOU didn't understand is that nothing can be translated from something you read a long time ago. Google says the text file is:

Thanks for the explanation now. I do not use Google to translate, nor do I understand how to use it. As I now understand it, you have to have the original link, then open that link in Google, and Google will then translate it to English? Then I understand that you cannot copy it that way, all you get to do is see it in English, but if you try to copy it, then you end up with the original Polish words?

This explanation was sent to me by a member. And he said that Google sometimes cannot send a valid translation of foreign languages, as not all words are in the library. I guess that is why the translation seems strange.

Well anyway, this is my 15th posting, so now I will be a member, and can get more involved in this forum. Thanks for taking the time to explain it, and post that translation. I hope what ever it is trying to say, will help someone here. I can see there is a lot of interest in learning how to make a coil. If I can find a friend, who moved to Texas, who made a lot of coils for his Garrett detector, I will post his information. Thanks again...

Melbeta, Google translation is not always perfect but you can get an idea of what a document says. In this case, it was a thread from a forum. Probably not much help in the long run but now you get the idea of the discussion.
