Looking for a project. I am think about buying a vintage coinmaster on eBay and modifying it by replacing the sides of the book with plastic, taking off the handle and remounted it on a bent forearm pole, and possably replacing the battery packs with Lithium batteries. has any one ever done anything like this or have any suggestions?

Edric

O' yea, I am new here.

According to detector modifiers around the world and on the moon, you have found the best treasure hunting site on the Internet. Enjoy yourself, poke around and see what's here. When you're ready, contribute your experiences for everyone to enjoy.

Welcome from Australia!

I plan on using a thin wall aluminum case and lightweight aluminum pole in an S shaft for my Garrett Groundhog which is one heavy hunking machine right now.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I used to add "D" rings to the case on the old Whites and then you can use snap connectors and a shoulder strap.
