I'm trying to make a straight shaft setup for my musky. Here's my progress so far. Really feels good to swing. Still have to get a length of pole. The arm cuff cover I made from a small accessory bag that goes in a laptop bag. I have three of em. The cuff is cut from a computer cover. Here's a few pics in stages.

Made it longer to have a bigger sweep. The lower shaft is from a bounty hunter tracker 2-D someone gave me a few years ago I no longer have so why not? I need to get a TS1000 coil to cover more ground. Total spent so far is $12.33. Everything else I had laying around. Hip mount ready for the beach or fields. Swings nice. I may sand it and paint it black.

I found the first arm cuff would slip a bit. Until I fix that I put this one together with various types of velcro I had. It works and it's comfortable. This frozen ground stuff is killing me.... I'm stir crazy.

Thanks Xavier. I had fun doing this project. I can't wait to try it out. Getting a snowstorm now. I'm hoping the storm will stir things up at the beach. My buddies and I are tentatively scheduled to hunt Sunday mornings low tide.
