Yep I intend to mount a magnifying glass and LED light on it.

I found some ferric chloride, I used the blue transfer but I think that the toner is the problem (Cannon printer)

I just do the art work on super bright white paper (110) 20# bond), take it OFFICE_MAX or STAPLES, and have them use commercial printer to print on clear transfer sheets. Real cheap, less than a dollar a sheet. Perfect results.
Positive pc boards, and ferric chloride give good results. Watch exposure times, use a good UV blacklight. Watch developer times and etch times. All are critical for good results. Practice doesn't hurt either.

Talking about drill presses I'm going to be making my own for the Dremel that I have, all that I'm still looking for is the spring.

I have seen some inexpensive ones at the hardware store once. Also seen some that were made for a 3/8" drill that could be modified to mount a Dremel.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I have a UV box that I made with UV LED's but it's only good for small PCB so I'll need to make a bigger one at some stage.

Low-pressure mercury-vapor lamps would do the job.

I bought a used "under the cabinet type" single tube fluorescent fixture, removed the lamp tube, and inserted a UV black lamp tube. Works great. I put a small  timer on the cord to set the exposure time.

Carl

I decided to make my own countdown timer using a PIC 18f2550 that I've had lying around for the past 5 years but I've hit a bunch of unforeseen problems.
