This is a picture of me accepting a plaque for treasure hunter of the year from the president of the Lone Star Treasure Club.
The award was presented at the 2009 Christmas Party.
I am the goofy one on the right.
I first started swinging a metal detector in 1966.
It was my fathers but he let me use it when he was not swinging it.
I collect fossils, arrowheads, bottles, marbles, cast toys, coin banks, just about anything I find interesting.

Gee thanks, you must have very low expectations of some of us.
I was not ready for this particular event, being elected for treasure hunter of the year!
I believe if I had known I was in the running my attaire would have been a little more presentable. After all I had just came from a hunt in a lot just east of my home.
But what can I say but this is the way I usually dress. As for the whiskers that comes and goes when my wife tells me.
Yes, I'm just a little "PECKED" but I swear I am not "Whooped" .
Thanks for the comment about how I figured as I have been here on this site for a while now and never bothered posting my kisser for all to see.
I have one picture where I was accepting (first prize) at a "seeded" hunt, the prize was an ACE 250!
