myself and two other lads found this hoard of medieval silver hammered coins September last year. there was 122 hammered coins found in the hoard, all medieval silver penny's from 4 different kings.
are local museum has now acquired the hoard and should be on display soon.
Edward 1st (1272-1307)
Edward 2nd (1307-1327)
Alexander 3rd (1249-1286)
John Baliol (1292-1296)

What would be the value of such a find?
Dont think I'll have to worry about finding anything like that here
in the US.

the value of the find is split equally in half between the finder and the landowner 50/50
the hoard was valued at ?2,717.04
?1358.52 to the landowner
?1358.52 to the finders which was split 3 ways. ?452.84 each.

Did they value it as silver content or coin value because it seems old coins like that should have had a higher value if you ask me the museum's stick the hunters everytime. But ihave  no idea.. Awsome find  my friend, and many more..
