Hi , This is Treasure Hunter , here are some small glass vials of gold I have been finding in the local gullies in my area ware I live in centeral New York State . People say there isn't gold in New York State to be found , well there wrong ! There is gold here to be found & you can find it in any streams or gullies around New York State . You just got to get yourself some gold pans shovel , some buckets , sluice box & crack & creavice tools to clean them out ware the gold gets traped . Give it a try , you will get the Gold Fever the first time your out panning . It sure got me !    Happy Prospecting .    Smiley

Treasure Hunter, that gold is definitely a sight for sore eyes.   Hope you find a lot more in 2010.

Nice start!

A funny story. I had a pretty good vial like that going and I was curious how many grams I had. I had purchased a pocket digital scale and was anxious to try it out. I set the gold out to dry in a cup lid on a high shelf at me mums house and headed off to work for a few days. Well due to the holidays she went to cleaning and dusted the whole lot to the floor and vaccuumed. It was a funny deal and the look on her face was priceless when I told her what she had done. My own fault for leaving it out but I never expected her to reach that high shelf. I confiscated the vaccuum bag and one day when its warmer I will pan it out again....

I had a pretty good one going and I dropped it on the tile floor and it exploded.  Its amazing how hard gold is to find when you know exactly were it's at, much less when you don't.  Nice finds Treasure Hunter!  I'm waiting for the ground to dry out a bit more from the last rain so I can break out the new dry washer.  Hopefully I'll have some to post up soon.

AzJake,  what part of Arizona are you waiting to have dry out?  I can tell you that as of this weekend the I-8 corridor was pretty dry.   Break the surface crust and you were working with powder in a lot of spots.  But if your talking north of I-10, you're probably right about needing a bit more drying time.

Northwest of Phx.   I'm hoping it will be nice and dry soon.  I tried detecting the area Saturday but with no luck.  Most of the gold in the area is small.
