I have to agree with Technos on this one (I've been around Navajo rugs my entire life as my Grandfather started collecting them in the 1930s when he was working for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the eastern part of the Navajo reservation).   The colors and pattern are wrong for an authentic Navajo rug.   It's possible that it could be a Chimayo weaving (which are also pretty valuable).   Chimayo weavers tend to use brighter colors, but I don't think this is a Chimayo either.   Most likely it is  weaving specifically made in Mexico or another location for sale in tourist shops in the United States.

Like Technos says, it really hard to tell for sure just from these pictures.
