I found a similiar petroglyph to this drawing recently in the southwest. Any idea what specific indian tribe it could be belong to? i.e. what tribe had similiar style petroglyphs with the wavy legs?

It was in Utah. I've looked thru alot of petroglyph pictures of the state, but it doesn't seem very characteristic of any that I can find. Perhaps its just an oddity, but you would think that those wavy legs are characteristic of some known culture/tribe's imagery in particular.

My photo didn't turn out good enough to post. I'll have wait to post a decent one, since I hope to stop there again. It's hard to get good pictures of this stuff.  I had the same problem with some awesome ones near where I live in Idaho.... one was a beautiful red colored petro of an elk that was about 2foot x 4 foot. Vandals found the site and defaced them with spray paint, before I could go back and get better pictures.
The drawing I made of this one is very close to the one in Utah though, perhaps the legs may curl up a little more on the real one.

Ris I just remembered this it might help. There a many petroglyph and carvings in Mexico and south America with bent bow curved legs. This was great fuel for Eric von Deniken  and other conspiracy nuts back in the 70's and 80's. They liked to claim that their aliens  etc. Most anthropologist claim they represent man/god figures super warriors flying are jumping over the enemy etc.
Is it just the one that you saw are were there more with the bent legs?

Ha, Interesting I may have to read up on that... no this was the only one I could fairly well make out that had the bent legs.. There may be others, I'll have to look harder at it next time, maybe poor some water over it or something so they stand out better. They were mostly small petros, maybe 4-6 inches tall. Thankyou Seldom!

Wow, I still haven't found any similair petroglyphs yet, but I saw something that gave me a great idea!
The problem with these particular Petros is that they are "etched" in the rock. It makes them difficult if not impossible to see if the sun isn't going across the rocks at an angle to make shadows in the grooves. Well,  I saw a picture of an archeologist taking photographs of petroglyphs at night with a portable light source pointed across the rocks.  Clapp   The only problem is I will look like a total nutcase if someone sees me taking pictures of rocks at night!
