 Detecting

Hi! it's Garrettman back again.  In my previous message to you I was singing the praises of the 250 but now I've really had the time to give it a compresensive work out on farm land I must admit that although the largers Finds are easy to detect when it comes to really small items such as buttons and cut quater coins as can be found around the UK it isn't quite so sensitive as I was first to believe.  As a consequence I've reverted back to one of my now ancient Fisher machines, either the M-SCOPE or the 1265-X and the results are coming up.  Mind you I haven't yet tried the 250 on the beaches on which I've been told is the ideal machine from a fellow detectorist who also hasn't been too impressed when working on land.
In November I am visiting my old Mum on the South West Coast so will have the brief opportunity to walk the beaches and see the restults for myself.
All the very best
Garrettman

 Smiley  Hi Xavier

Thanks, I'm here to stay.  I would be very interested to hear what types of finds you come across in SA.
Here in the UK we are very fortunate to unearth coins and artifacts from the Saxon, Roman and Tudor periods.

Regards
Garrettman

Good to see you back on the forum I trust that you had a good trip back home and not to much traffic.
I have not been back to the beach yet as I was busy working on the Surf PI and am glad to say that I have it working great so now I have two working PI machines. I will be making a water proof housing for the Surf PI so next time we get together we will just have to go for a dive and go and find that illusive wreck LOL.

Have a great Christmas
Regards Xavier
